Apparently an autumn plumage black redstart, but seems to have rather more red on its tummy than usual for here (i.e. than gibraltariensis).

Thanks. My first thought was a hybrid. Both types of redstart occur in the vicinity, although this one was with some "normal" looking 1 cy black redstarts.
 
The rather obvious and extensive white wing panel, even as a 1st summer male prob means it is a hybrid. Eastern races of Black Redstart seem to tend to show smaller or nearly no wing panel. I suspect the extensive reddish colouring on the belly is too extreme for a pure local Black Redstart anyway.
