I photographed this gull in Hong Kong (Mai Po) a few years ago and had it down as a Relict Gull. Not as likely as a Black-headed Gull I suspect. Can anyone confirm?

The Opus entry makes it clear that Relict has a black hood, rather than brown (among other major differences). It seems safe to say your bird is a Black-headed Gull.
