Redpoll Id - Sligo - Ireland

Taken in an urban garden in Sligo, Ireland: no adjustments other than some sharpening.

This individual was readily distinguishable on colour but had no obvious structural differences from the accompanying 30+ Lesser Redpoll.

Final pic shows typical L.R. taken a few moments later - for comparative purposes.

Any observations/comments are welcome, please.

Interesting bird with very little in the way of wing bars, I'll leave it to the "experts" I think! :t:

Thought I would bring this back to the top of the pile, can't believe nobody has any thoughts about this bird.

Might be a Mealy - would want measurements to prove it though. Hard to rule out a pale lesser
