Reporting colour ringed White Stork (1 Viewer)

Hi

It's a while since we found a colour-ringed bird but it seems more complicated than the last time I reported one. We saw some passage White Storks in the Ebro Delta last week and at least one had a leg ring, grey, HES SK532. I think this is likely to have been ringed in Switzerland Any clues as to where I should report this - website? We have a decent photo. Also same question for Audouin's Gull. I haven't had a chance to check the photo properly yet but I think we should have enough for the ring to be readable.

Thanks Mono. I tried that site without much luck. We originally tried to track it down using my tablet from our hotel in Spain which is where my notion that it was a Swiss bird comes from. I thought it might be easier on a 'proper computer'. From memory we tracked down a White Stork with a similar ring alpha and alpha numeric code that had been ringed in Switzerland in ?2011? but I've not even relocated that today.

Still no luck with identifying someone/where to report this bird to. From what I know, ringers are only too delighted to receive reliable controls, so it seems odd that it's so difficult to track this down. Perhaps, as it was probably ringed 12+ years ago, the scheme has closed down. I'll stick a photo of the bird on my eBird checklist and perhaps one day someone who is interested will find it. A search on 'HES SK532' should provide enough of a trail of breadcrumbs to find it.

Now for the Audouin's Gull, white plastic, FAS7.

That was a bit easier. Unsurprisingly, it looks like a Spanish-ringed bird.

In case anyone is interested, here is HES SK532, 30th September 2024, Sant Jaume d'Enveja, Catalunya. One of a group of around 20.
