For photos 1 and 2 I would like to know how you eliminated Brown-Headed Cowbird, a bit on the molty side...but...

The other bird, female House Finch. Again, if it's a trick question, and you've already eliminated the obvious, laugh if you must but tell me the extra secret way to know...These blah birds can be surprisingly difficult.

I agree with Microtus that the third is an Indigo.
