Message: <blockquote data-quote="brianfm" data-source="post: 1379252" data-attributes="member: 11997">Thanks for the comments.I really do enjoy this type of birding in winter.  I was wrapped up like a Christmas parcel so didn't feel the cold to much and the fuel stop at lunch time always helps.  It was bitter cold watching the geese out there in the open though, as was the stop by the sea near the end of the walk.  Such a day is far more pleasant than damp miserable summer days that we seem to have been getting lots of latterly.  Give me a crisp winters day anytime.I hope to be off to Grune Point on the Solway, Cumbria, on both Wed and Saturday so should have some interest to report back.  I may wrap the two days into one report.I have just about finished reading Roy Dennis's Life of Ospreys.  If you like Ospreys I  reccommend it.</blockquote>
