Ring neck parakeets (1 Viewer)

Hyde & St James Parks in London were full of them on Saturday when I was at the Stop Brexit march, must've seen several dozen (2nd commonest bird after feral pigeon) :t:

Any park in an around West London (Richmond, Bushy and Home Parks are particularly good). My seed feeders (the bastards).

Are there any Monk parakeet populations in London?
I think I recall there may have been, though they were being removed by authorities as an invasive species?

That's my recollection too. They were removed not just for being an invasive species, but also because they're a serious risk to power supplies: they like to build their huge stick nests on electricity transformers because of the extra warmth they supply, and that causes fires that wreck the transformers when the nests get too hot (example).
