Hello everyone:
In a few months I will go to Bali and I would like ringing there .
Anybody know if they have Indonesian's rings or how I could get permits for ringing there?
Thank you very much

Why not contact the Oriental Bird Club: www.orientalbirdclub.org , they will surely know about any ringing projects.
To get a permit I imagine you would have to have a scientific research project in mind , not just a desire to do ringing there which seems to be what you are saying........

Thank you very much, indeed I have a couple of projects in mind and I am trying to contact people from there to be able to develop them but I need to know if they have their own rings or should I carry them

You will have to contact LIPI (Indonesian Institute of Sciences), http://lipi.go.id, to apply for permission. They have an online form too: http://penelitiasing.lipi.go.id

I wish you good luck in obtaining permits in time (they can take up to two years, even if it's just a ringing project).

Best wishes

Or you could do what the late John Hornbuckle used to do ;)

I know for a fact, that he carried ringing nets on most of his trips.
