A quick couple of hours round the Valley this pm. Hundreds of Covid free!! people taking their daily exercise, it was busier than a Bank Holiday!!
Swan pool - 80% frozen, which fortunaely brought 3 Goldeneye in close (2 male 1 female)
Forge Mill - 80% still frozen (Marsh 100% frozen) Usual suspects (but NO Teal, Wigeon) However, a distant murky scan through the gulls revealed a GREATER BLACK BACKED, which was unmistakeable next to a LBB. A Valley life tick (136)
All the finches at the Feeding station, including a Reed Bunting which I haven`t seen for some time. No sign of the recently reported Brambling.
Belated Happy New Year to all.
