Scopack Plus vs. Viking S'Port Tripod Backpack (1 Viewer)

Hello, I am trying to decide between these two tripod backpacks for my spotting scope set up. I would appreciate hearing opinions on the two backpacks, particularly the Viking S'Port since there are hardly any reviews on this site for this pack.

I am in need of a comfortable and high quality, easy to take on and off quickly backpack with some storage space.

Thanks! :)

Well, I only have had a Scopac Plus...

With pleasure I used it intensely for 9 years. With intensely I mean mostly daily during migration period and multiple times a week in the rest of the year.

When birding on a regular basis durability for me is one of the most important aspects for birding gear, for binoculairs as it is for shoes etc.

The Scopac did it's job very well, but this year one of the straps broke due to wear. The point were a strap is attached to the main compartment also got ruptured in an unrepairable way.

The scopac was attached to a (rather heavy) Manfrotto 055/128rc combo with an ATX85 on top.

During 'stationary birding' (mainly on vismig spots) there was enough room in one of the compartments to put a DSLR plus lens to have those at hand for birds flying by.

So all and all Scopac did a great job all those years, and considering the price it's absolutely worth the buy.

Unfortunately they aren't available in the Netherlands at the moment, so I have to consider paying the 'post-Brexit fee' or look for an alternative...
