Armorall works perfectly. Remove the eyecups (do it slowly on an angle and they come off just fine). Apply Armorall and let them sit overnight. Wipe them to remove residue. Replace the eyecups (do it slowly and they’ll stretch into position). After four years, my "folded down" eyecups appear like new. The same is true for my wife's SE eyecups. Check with Nikon for SE eyecups (part number 7636). I heard they didn't have any available, but might have some made to fill demand. The shortage may have been addressed by now. John PS I just got off the phone with Nikon USA. As we know, the eyecups in question (part number 7636) fit the SE 8X32 and the SE 10X42. I suppose they also fit the 12X50 SE. In any case, they have been on backorder since January 2008 and are not available from Nikon. Also, B&H does not have them in stock. I suggest Armorall, or something similar, be applied once or twice a year. In the meantime, I'll see what can be done to encourage Nikon to make these available.
