Saw one of the young at the weekend, after seeing one of the adults. By the time I saw the young one I'd walked quite a bit further away and couldn't tell at that range if it was the one they fledged last year (it struck me that it would have been chased from the territory some time ago but news hadn't come out about this years success at that point).

On a seperate note, why can't modern optics do that ring around a bird thing - it'd make life much simpler
