That final picture was taken on the hill behind the church at 08.45! The view is virtually to the NW and so the low sun was almost immediately behind me. Much of the shadow is from the tall trees in the churchyard.

Dog wasn't very happy when I made him sit on the frosty grass to take the pictures, he sat down very carefully!!!!

Hi all! Missed you soooo much!

Had a swarm of goldfinches and pine siskin yesterday. Actually for the last 2 wks. Have seen a peregrine falcon for the last 3days too.

We have another praying mantis guest too. Mrs.mantis already laid one egg mass. She has been with is about a month and is very charming. I put my hand next to her and she reaches out with one of her legs to touch me!
