Wasn't sure where to post this photo, taken yesterday, and I didn't want to start a new thread for the sake of it, so I've bundled it in with the 'seasonal thread'

Lovely colours there, Cristian. We have Dexters on the common here, Joe, and that's why I thought I recognised it! Nice breed, I think!

Love your cow with Magpie, Cheersm8. My ex Boss has Dexters, he started with one cow & got hooked.|:d|
Lovely Autumn trees in your photo, Cristian.

Three from my trip down the road this morning. It seems that, as for as Mute Swans go there's time for romance regardless of season and whether the kids are watching or not!

Thanks Kits!
If ma'am likes it that much then ma'am deserves another. In this one they're posing for the official photographer who is obviously over to my left somewhere!

Great selection there Cristian. Nice group of mixed aged Cormorants.

Photo's of 'our' winter Whoopers. I love seeing 'em out on the arable. These ones were only 2 minutes from town.

Great birds. Here this is not a really common species. And I never saw one so close to my city. I have to travel around 70-100 km to see some. In December 2008 I found a relative large flock of Whoopers (60-80 individuals). I was very happy to discover some Bewick's Swan among them... This one it is a relative rare species here!

I'm lucky in living in a very rural village on the bank of the River South Tyne, took a walk downriver this morning, we've experienced heavy rain wind and rising water levels this last 24 hours and river levels are rising. This rather atmospheric shot appealed so thought I'd share.

It is sort of autumnal and in view of the extreme weather of late very seasonal

By late afternoon footpath was under water so no access!

Great pictures everyone.

Stewart
