One of my favourite birds, Cristian, are Siskins. We don't get them often here, but when we do, I am really happy to see them.

As ever lovely pictures everyone, love the atmospheric autumn in park Cristian.

Lucky in that we have Siskins visiting our feeders 7-8 months of year.

Though a common bird up here its still nice to see Crossbills, carried out 4 BTO Atlas tetrads last month in the South Wark forest and recorded in each TTV some males were already song flighting.

This was from birding on sunday. We are looking from the Orphir shore south across Scapa Flow to the hills of Hoy. They are capped with the first snows of winter. It was a good day tho with hordes of Black throted divers and my first ever Little gulls.

Its good to be back home!!

Yep, same species - Carduelis spinus.
