Here's the completed plate 102 for Birds of Central Asia....and sketches of the best-looking ssp of LG Bee-eater out there - cyanophrys. Really brightened up any day we saw them in Israel....

And, shock-horror, the Birds of Melanesia is almost done - just spent two days putting the tags onto the book plates which was a nightmare as I don't have Acrobat Writer so what should have been simple texting with that became a bit if a mission using Word. Oh well, at least they know which bird's which now!!

didn't know him but after wiki, I can see what you mean...what I meant of course was that to me you have that star power, if I was ever to meet you I'd probably want your autograph.:gh:

Hey H...er, sometime this year (I think the hoped-for dates are Birdfair-ish I believe....but this is the publishing world so they're never a 100% as to which Birdfair they mean...!!;))

Just admiring the fantastic drawing again, Adam. The TBL's are just like I saw them in Morroco last March, and the little greens are just gorgeous. I'm always blown away with the accuracy of your lines. Are these conceived instantly on the spot, or are they added to and/or cleaned up with an eraser later on? They are the complete opposite of my shambolic renderings.
Whatever, it's all wonderful work.

Hope to travel to Central Asia one day, so it's good to know there'll be a a top notch field guide available.
