Somewhere on this forum we had a thread Nature at her Best, some I don't seemto be able to find it, so I thought I would share these cirrus clouds with you on here...
Clear blue skies and bright sunshine so far today (but it IS only 8.40am). I'm stuckl at work all day until 5pm so not much birding or even getting outdoors today :smoke:
The swallows have returned to Alnwick after going missing for ten days o Had quite a few of them flying around outside the shops on Friday morning at around 7.15am :t: House Martins are still with us too :king:
I'm glad I'm not the only person who loves looking at clouds :t: I really MUST start carrying my camera around with me all the time as the amount of times I see an awesome cloud formation and cannot record it for posterity is soooo annoying!
Today stayed sunny and warm with a light breeze. The perfect autumn day to go birding in fact.....but instead I was stuck in a shop until 5.30pm trying to find a missing £110 :smoke: Sorted it out eventually.....the wrong lottery payout amount had been rung in! :C
The Glossy Ibis at Cresswell was showing well today so I'll be up and ready to go as soon as Neil gets home tomorrow morning at 7am from nightshift! :-O Forecast is for settled weather again :t:
A walk in the Wyre Forest early this morning produced loads of Robins, Blue & Great Tits, a couple of calling Nuthatches and Autumn leaves falling! A good 1 1/2hr walk nevertheless!
Today was like autumn had arrived overnight! Cool, dull, windy, with a real nip in the air after 5:00pm. But, I've a sneaky feeling that this was just a warning. I reckon we will be back to sunny and warm for another week.
