Somewhere on this forum we had a thread Nature at her Best, some I don't seemto be able to find it, so I thought I would share these cirrus clouds with you on here...

Lovely, Wendy! I wish I had seen a few of those clouds today, it has been grey for the best part of it and cool.

Oh Wendy those are GORGEOUS!!! :t:

Clear blue skies and bright sunshine so far today (but it IS only 8.40am). I'm stuckl at work all day until 5pm so not much birding or even getting outdoors today :smoke:

The swallows have returned to Alnwick after going missing for ten days o:) Had quite a few of them flying around outside the shops on Friday morning at around 7.15am :t: House Martins are still with us too :king:

Lovely cloud formations, Wendy. I do like looking at clouds.
Here today, the clouds blocked out the sun, but not for long.

I'm glad I'm not the only person who loves looking at clouds :t: I really MUST start carrying my camera around with me all the time as the amount of times I see an awesome cloud formation and cannot record it for posterity is soooo annoying!

Today stayed sunny and warm with a light breeze. The perfect autumn day to go birding in fact.....but instead I was stuck in a shop until 5.30pm trying to find a missing £110 :smoke: Sorted it out eventually.....the wrong lottery payout amount had been rung in! :C
The Glossy Ibis at Cresswell was showing well today so I'll be up and ready to go as soon as Neil gets home tomorrow morning at 7am from nightshift! :-O Forecast is for settled weather again :t:

A sunny start to the day but now overcast, 18.3c.

A walk in the Wyre Forest early this morning produced loads of Robins, Blue & Great Tits, a couple of calling Nuthatches and Autumn leaves falling! A good 1 1/2hr walk nevertheless!

Lovely sunny start and by 10am it was getting pretty warm :t: Light breeze....just a perfect day o:)

I finally caught up with the Glossy Ibis after nearly three hours :-O Little tinker kept flying off and hiding!!! Birds are quite annoying that way! ;)

Lots of swallow and house martin movement today and redwings were reported over the A1 yesterday - autumn is definitely here chaps! :t:

Beautiful weekend. Both days warm and sunny. Yesterday was 19°c and today got to 21°c.

Today was like autumn had arrived overnight! Cool, dull, windy, with a real nip in the air after 5:00pm. But, I've a sneaky feeling that this was just a warning. I reckon we will be back to sunny and warm for another week.

Cool and overcast here all day. Disappointing after the weekend. Hope you are right, Joe.

Out picking sloes this afternoon, the sun was almost burning my bare arms! Definitely better than most of the 'summer' days that we had this year.
