In my own case I came to birding on the back of taking my daughter to Slimbridge. The family enjoyed it enough to go back and following that we joined and ended up supporting WWT and also RSPB to a fair degree.  Accessibility draws people in, high admission charges may put them off, perhaps tomorrow's environmentalists will be those who parents pay a couple of quid to park their car and take a half interested look?</p></blockquote><p></p>
