Is this a permit only reserve, or general access? Directions anyone? Thanks.

Instructions on birdguides say 'one in the hedge beyond the sown field; previously reported as Great Grey Shrike. Park on the drive near the stone wall and walk back towards the cottages, then through the gate on right to the hide SJ680179'

Further instructions say 'still this morning though distant; please park at SJ681179 (£3.50) and follow all on-site instructions.'

Really want to go, but got a hand in deadline for uni today, cant risk not making it :-C Followed by work tomorrow!! Hopefully it will stay around until Wednesday.

Take your scope with you , even when you walk over the reserve which they are allowing you to do, it is still a distant view.

Nice to have an "upgrade" on the original sighting. :-O

Any background on the possible female Pied Wheatear at Titterstone Clee this afternoon?

Ta
Phil

Hi Phil,

Found by Jason Kernohan late afternoon. Bird was present around the disused quarry buildings just west of the car park. It was mobile due to dog walkers so with that and the windy conditions I don't think he managed to obtain any decent pictures.

From his verbal description over the phone, it sounded like female Pied. Tail pattern eliminated Desert. Slim chance it could be Black-eared, but Pied seems more realistic. Definitely worth checking out in the morning.

Cheers Brian and nice one Jason (if confirmed)- may struggle to get over there early morning myself but hopefully someone will check it out. Is JHWR aware?
