Spotted this morning outside Cuzco, Peru.

Could it be Plumbeous, any other species?

Band-tailed Seedeater? Hard to see bill shape at that angle, but think too stubby for Band-tailed Sierra Finch?

Thank you for the feedback, Larry. It could be Band-tailed Seedeater, as they are also common in the area. But could be something else perhaps too. I'm not at all familiar with the birds of this side of the world. Unfortunately I could not take a second photo. It was a solitary individual, close to a wetland.

The tail pattern excludes most other similar things
