Hello,

My friend is trying to ID this bird - my first guess was dunnock, but it has a white band over the top of the beak that I don't think I've seen before. Does anyone have any ideas for what this might be?

Thanks for your help!

Of course Rich is right and you have a Dunnock (enjoying the sunshine πŸ™‚). Dunnock do have a pale grey/buff stripe over the eye which bridges the forehead, more obvious on some individuals than others.

oops xpost!
