Small bird of prey - Almeria, Spain (1 Viewer)

Joseph Bouvier

"No, that was a pigeon, not an eagle".
Spain
Saw this bird of prey today flying above me near a small lake in Almeria, Spain. I don't know if it was just really far away, but it looked really small. Maybe a sparrowhawk or something similar?

Thanks!

Hello,
with an appearantly uniform tail with a broad band, orange feet, streaking restricted to breast and pale cheeks with a dark moustache (ok, some whishful thinking this has to be a Kestrel/Lesser Kestrel ?

But it looks somewhat strange for a Kestrel to me, but is it a Merlin? No, I dont see this here.

Edit: answer is there, thanks Tom!

Thanks guys! kestrels are dead common around here, just thought that this particular individual looked a little off...
