Can you help me ID this small perching bird? Four or five of them flew together into the branches of a cedar tree in the evening shadows. Barely larger than a hummingbird. Gray overall, lighter (possibly white) belly. I had the impression of a darker streak on (some?) heads, whether cap or mask hard to say in poor light.
I've considered blue-gray gnatcatcher (most likely geographically, but no cap/mask?), black-tailed gnatcatcher (nice cap but unlikely in Colorado), and bushtit (no cap/mask, and brownish vs gray). Nothing I'd feel confident of. Also, these seem rather plump while I had the impression of a more slender, elongated body... perhaps because they were moving around rather than just perching? Thanks.
