Small wader bird - NL (1 Viewer)

Hi everyone,
I saw this cute wader on the Zandmotor beach in the Netherlands a few days ago (2nd of April).
My best ID right now is Dunlin, Calidris alpina, mainly due to the black rump (see blurry in flight photo). However, I find that its plumage is not brown enough for summer plumage, and not light-grey enough for winter - is this perhaps due to it moulting at this time? The moulting dunlin photos I see online mainly seem light-brown, not dark grey.
Also, this bird was on its own, whereas from what I've read this bird is rarely seen away from a big flock.
What do you guys think?
Cheers,
Max
