Hey Mabel,

Just a quick note.... you will of seen Pied Wagtail, (alba yarelli), White being the nominate continental race and Pied being our very own British Isles race. White are common to scarce on passage in spring.

On the yearlisting side of things reckon i'm on c.100.

I know that, but I saw it with several "Pieds". I just took it as a tick since it is another race, and one which I don't see often, but have seen before.

I'd be quite careful with claiming White Wags at this time of year! I think most of the proven records of that ssp outside of the classic passage time are from ringing recoveries. It's not to say that there won't be some whites present but that the field ID can be a bit iffy. If you are dead set on adding them to you list, I'd wait till spring for something a bit more definite.

Also of note, LBBG, same Mystery Gull I posted about last time, some more Iceland Gulls, and two Nelson's Gulls (Glaucous x Herring). Does two Nelson's mean I've seen a Glaucous??? :D :D If only...
