Hiya

275 so far - includes day trips to Dorset, San Fransisco, and South Africa. Going to Madras on Monday, so should be over 300 soon...knackered already (and I vowed never to do a year list again after going nuts in 1991 and seeing almost 2000 species).

Up to 117. I love it when you do a re-count!!

In Dumfries and Galloway today.

Added 13, (not 12 forgot about jay!) Tarvener's canada (lifer), nuthatch (Scottish tick) red kite, ruff, barnacle goose, greenland whitefront, treecreeper, shoveler, gadwall, gs woodpecker, canada goose, jay and bullfinch.

79 - Great Northern Diver.
80 - Common Scoter.
81 - Slavonian Grebe.

85 - Oystercatcher.
86 - Turnstone.
87 - Kittiwake.

Dipped Water Pipit & Black Scoter, which sucks big time!! Ah well, another visit to N.Wales required.

Now on 97 with a trip along the Suffolk coast today. First stop Lowestoft for the Ross's gull which is my first lifer for the year and 249th for Suffolk.

Finished by overlooking Dingle Marshes where I reached 250 for Suffolk with 3 lovely Whooper swans.

went "hunting" for redbreasted goose

no luck , but ended at 82 for 2006-list (5 new)

A slightly less grey day out birding took me to:

UK: 124
East London: 88

Highlights: 2 Jack Snipe, corking male Black Redstart, Firecrest and 2 very showy Hawfinch in a carpark, despite screaming kids and barking dogs!
