A great camera for wildlife, birds etc....or so I thought.

Mine has just gone bust. It freezes, no auto focus, no play back and the zoom stopped working.
I have checked online and its a known fault.
£700 to repair it so its stuck in a drawer.
The camera was 3 years old
First camera that's broke on me....a bit annoying really given the initial cost

The zoom has just stopped working on mine too. Yet to take it in - but not encouraged by the price of repair you were quoted...

The repair in HK for a non-functioning zoom was about HK$350 - about £30 - but now the lcd screen has died - so starting to think about a replacement.

RX10IV and a6600 with the 100-400 G master zoom are the front runners.

Cheers
Mike
