These shots were taken in Sth Spain in an area where Crested and Thekla are both common. I had not seen Thekla for about 20 yrs! and on seeing this bird was struck by the the bill compared to Crested. Some consider it Thekla, others a short billed Crested.

I would agree on Thekla for pics 2-4, based on bill shape (convex lower mandible) and relatively strong face and breast marking.
