Spring birds in Slovenia (1 Viewer)

I was at a professional Conference in Topolsice Terme, in the hills north of Celje - bit of Slovenia I'd not visited before, and I managed a morning off for a wander. Nothing of great interest, but I was astounded by the density of the Song Thrush population - at times several birds singing at the same time from different points as I walked along, and on a 3-hour walk there was always at least one in song. Other birds were Blue, Great, Marsh and Coal Tit, Robin, Blackbird, Nuthatch, Nutcracker (4 together), Jay, Magpie, Hoodie, Gt Spotted Woodpecker, Common Buzzard, and my first Chiffchaff of the year. Nice spring flowers there, too.
