The only thing that's really bugging me so far (no pun intended ;) ) is the narration by Caroline Quentin. Is it too much to ask for just a straight forward narration without the embarrassing attempts at dodgy accents. I know it's probably for the kids benefit but surely these days kids don't need to have it dumbed down to that extent. Can anyone with young children offer comments? In fact, why is she doing it anyway? My guess would be because she's cheap! (no not like that you filthy people! :-O ). Otherwise I'm finding it quite enjoyable, I like that Martin fella. With Bill's absence it's become even more obvious though that the scirpwriters are clearly the ones insisting that the presesnters act like 11yr olds. Occasionally rasies a smile but not enough to stop the cringing. Goes something like this.... 8:00pm program start - 2 min intro 8:02pm inane banter and childish jokes with a quick catch-up. 8:05pm Hand over to Simon for his intro. 8:07pm Back to Chris and Kate for more childish jokes and obvious leading questions and so on and so on..... Looking forward to more news on the Cuckoos, esp. the one in the nest. :t:
