Spurn - Lapland Bunting? (1 Viewer)

ChrisLuv

Improving Birder
I was told that this was a Lapland Bunting last weekend when we saw it, I'd never seen one before last weekend. We had worse, distant views of them that were easier to id but this one we had good views of but it didn't conform, not rusty red enough and no obvious white wing bars - the face too was not perfect.

Sorry about the dodgy photo but just wanted the confirmation if possible.

Of course it is! I could (and should) have id'd that if I hadn't been told what it wasn't to start with....

Thanks guys. Live and learn.
