Sri Lanka, Yellow bird with black Line over eye (3 Viewers)

Just reading my holiday notes, made in Sri Lanka some 25 years ago, I must have seen many birds as described in the title.
Not very much in birding at the time, I did not look very good and did not ask people about what birds I saw. But now I ask myself, would it be the Indian Oriole I saw so many times? Or could it be something else?

Most likely to be an Oriole as you suggest...Indian being the default species.

The problem is, I don't remember what I saw. The notes I made is the only indication. That is why I wonder if there are other possible candidates.

As your title indicates, "Yellow bird with a black line over eye", it can only be him !! The magic worked, and years later, the yellow bird remembers you, ahaha !!!
For me it's a "Wizard Bird" !!!

I have read about your search, I am happy you succeeded al last! My first Oriole was in Germany. In Holland and France I have only heard them. In May this year in the Coreze there were many many songs to hear but unfortunately I saw none.
