St. Martin bird guide recommendations? (1 Viewer)

Hello hello! New here, this is my first post, hope I'm doing this right.

In the next couple weeks I'll be taking a trip with my family to St. Martin, which is an island in the caribbean. I wanted to get an identification guide for the birds while I was there, I was wondering if anyone had recommendations? From my own quick googling it seems my options are a general guide to the west indies rather than anything island specific.

Thanks!

I did a two week Caribbean cruise many years ago and our half day on St Martin was the least birdy part of it. A general West Indies guide will be fine - I don't think the island has any particular specialities to look out for.

I like the small Raffaele et al guide to the West Indies for being small when I am traveling. The larger version of the same guide or the Lynx guide are on my shelf, but not traveling with me. Don't forget to download the Merlin App with the appropriate bird pack for an electronic photo guide to the same area -- I see a regular guide and an electronic guide being perfect supplementation for each other.

Please submit to ebird your observations while on this trip.
Niels
