The Musselburgh bird was a 2cy bird, and was assumed to have not attained summer plumage, so there is every chance this bird will moult in a similar pattern. So I'm wondering why the news providers are still sitting on the fence with this one? Anyone know why? I'm a little surprised it hasn't been "bumped-up" to at least probable Western Sandpiper yet (not that it bothers me either way, having seen both in the UK).</p></blockquote><p></p>
