Strange duck (?) - Ammersee, Bavaria, Germany (1 Viewer)

Hi all,
here a few, admitted, pretty lousy pictures of a duck that we saw today at the south part of Ammer Lake, Bavaria, Germany. It swam in the Ammer river together with a male mallard (which usually gives vibrations of zoo duck pond escapee or strange breed duck..?). Any help would be much appreciated.

It's a Whistling Duck of some sort, so it will be an escape.

Thanks, I just saw in my handbook of birds of North America that it very much looks like a fulvous whistling duck!
