Strange duck, Cheshire? (1 Viewer)

An old Birdforum thread about what is presumably the same bird here: http://www.birdforum.net/showthread.php?t=141303

I wouldn't normally doubt Joern Lehmus as he (along with Dave Appleton) is probably one of the best experts on anseriform hybrids out there, but I have to say I don't really see much to indicate Eider in this bird - it seems (from the video) to be very close in jizz/structure to pure Shelducks. Maybe a little stockier, but then most other Tadorna species, and particularly Paradise, also seem to be slightly stockier/less lanky than Common Shel...

If you still post on Birdforum - Joern, do you still think the same about this bird as you did 5 years ago?

It's likely that no further discussion is required, in which case we recommend starting a new thread. If however you feel your response is required you can still do so.
