I think Mother might have been more miffed than usual had I told her I wanted to photograph the sunset and could she ring back later! :-O

Lovely pictures of your sunset Pam and Val

Mine are not so dramatic, but these where taken just outside my door facing our grassed area.

The first picture of the moon, was taken at the same time as the next 2 pictures.

It was like night and day together. So weird

Great pictures everyone and what a contrast in colours this evening. Mine is nothing spectacular, but shows another variation in colour. Taken from a completely different location to normal and with no clouds to bounce the rays off. Quite amazing that sunset can be so different over a relatively small area.

Yes indeed, it is very cold at the moment Val. Frost has never lifted all day long. Clear skies tonight too. So more frost on the way me thinks :eek!:

Wendy your sunset pictures always look lovely and warm. The same warm colours show in each of your photos. :eek!:

As we were driving back from town today, it looked as though we were going to have an amazing sunset, so we went to Watership Down to capture it. As we were going up the hill, a blooming great bank of cloud appeared from nowhere! I was determined to get some pics, so here they are. Not amazing, but having taken them, I had to share!

Oh! And the moon was out too. o:)

Nice selection there, Kits. Same thing happened to me on the way back from the coast. I thought that by the time I reached home it was going to be just perfect, but no, the clouds all dissipated and all we got was a pale yellow tinge....didn't even bother to get the camera out....:-C

Super sequence of photo's Kits. It was a bit like that here too, the sun just went. These are on the way to Mums & taken from a moving car as my OH isn't as helpful as yours & will not stop.

Fab pics, Val. We deliberately went to Watership Down to take the pics, so parked in the carpark. However, he stayed in the car in the warm, while I braved the icy slopes to go walking to take the pics! :king:
