Been a nice day today, so a 'good' sunset was inevitable.

Lovely pink/orange hue in the cloud formation

Great sunset pics Kathy and Wendy! :t:

We had a good sunset but I was driving home after being out on a long walk this afternoon so a pic wasn't possible!

Thanks Pam for your kind comments.

Your orange colours in your picture are lovely Wendy :t:

OH and I went to Abottsbury late this afternoon with the express intention (on my part) to photograph the sunset over the sea. These are the results.

BTW....there were dozens of fishermen down there and they looked set to stay well beyond dark....rather them than me!

Lovely sunset photo's Wendy, brave you are. I guess it was very cold there.
The last one is what our sunset looked like this evening. Just a red line on the horizen.

Wow, Wendy - those are fabulous. We went to Watership Down yesterday with the express intention of capturing the sunset. Blooming cloud came up again! :C

However, here are my efforts; the first one was taken on Boxing Day near the Kennet and Avon canal; the others are from Watership.

It's an absolute b****r when the clouds cover the sunset, Kits. Fortunately, I was pretty certain that yesterday would be OK and with the little bit of cloud on the horizon, it made for good photos.

Yes, Pam...it was stunning to watch, even OH was impressed! Yes, Val, it was bitterly cold. We stayed in the car for about 20 minutes as we were able to see the horizon from the car park, then we ventured on to Chesil for about 10 minutes....that was enough.;)

Beautiful pictures everyone. :t:

Here are pictures of the sun getting close to setting from my front door late this afternoon. It shows how clear the sky is.

It is very cold tonight, and does feel on the frosty side at the moment.
Just looked and the sky looks slightly reddish and overcast at the moment. Still brrrr.... though.

Wall to wall sunshine today and I thought there was a chance of a good sunset.....a bank of cloud put paid to that idea! You can see the cloud quite clearly in the one reasonable picture below.

hi Wendy

Strange how the clear day, has produced a foggy sunset.

The picture looks a bit spooky to look at, but very interesting sky with orange bits in it. Very unigue indeed. o:)

I think it tells us that it is going to be cold tonight once more. :eek!:

We had a nice sunset, but I did not have my camera at the right moment. The sunset was a washed out pale yellow colour. It seemed to be around earlier in the afternoon for some reason or another. :eek!:

Nice sunsets from you both, Kathy & Wendy.
I wasn't home, so was unable to take ours, though it was much like yours Wendy.

Thank you Val

Here are the latest sunset pictures we took tonight. It has a real wintry feeling about it.

These pictures where taken while we walked to Bedford today.

The last picture was taken of the sunset over the Great River Ouse

Few birdsm but good to watch the sun today!

Quite high up where I live and first two are over looking the city. Third is taken from behind my home.

I've said it before, but we have had some fantastic skies through the months since autumn.
