Swaro CL Pocket v2 eyecups (1 Viewer)

I was wondering whether other owners of the v2 CL Pockets could help with me something please. Last year I bought a pair of the v2 Pockets, having been very impressed with my partner's v1 which she's had for quite a few years. However I soon noticed that the eyecups on the v2 are noticeably more 'scratchy' and even noisy when extending/retracting them (the v1s are essentially silent). Normally I associate anything from Swarovski with mechanical excellence but these are far from that.

After 20 emails (yes really!) with Swaro's customer service in the UK and Austria they finally sent me the correct replacement eyecups for this model (anthracite). Sadly the replacements are no better. However the black ones they mistakenly sent were fine. Which got me wondering whether this particular colour eyecup is far less smooth in operation than others, or whether there is something odd going on with my specific binocular. If any other owner of the v2 could comment that would be much appreciated!

I just tried it and yes! I heard a funny scratchy noise in both the eyecups. I don't bother, because I leave them extended all the time.
