I´ve been thinking along the same lines, but have to purchase online from the UK. The best price I could find was at Cleyspy. Next was Infocus. Acecameras had a good offer until January 10th (?) that seems to have changed, their online price has gone up again.

If you are trading up, I found the best deal was at Infocus in Barnes. They offered the best trade in for my old ones and matched the best price I could find for the new ones. It was 2008 but I think their service is v good, something to consider in addition to price alone.

I´ll second IF-Barnes. I just got one from them. Superb price. Superb, courteous service. And very reasonable delivery to Ireland. (And I managed to order it just when the Euro was pretty close to Sterling so I saved another 10%....)

jessops have them at £989.00..!!! it just seems very low compared with

With the £ being as weak as it is aren't you all kidding yourself about a good price! The reality is you will be paying 25-30% more than a year ago...exchange rate!
