They are 38.2mm O.D. and my Swarovski SV 8x32 eye cups are 39mm O.D. So they pretty close to ideal. The black Habicht 8x30 standard issue eye cups are only 36mm O.D. so they are too small. They go into your eye sockets too far. This solves the major issue with the Habicht's. The Habicht's are one sweet binocular once you get used to them. Gorgeous optics from that little porro.</p></blockquote><p></p>
