Does it? I have no idea how much mynas cost at the moment

I know you're suggesting Dollarbirds, but for me the wings don't seem long enough or narrow enough, tail too short and the white wing patch is not quite in the right position (on Dollarbird it is part of the way along the primaries, not at the base).

These look like one of the dark Acridotheres mynas to me - is Javan most likely at this location? Shorter, rounder wings and with a white patch that wraps around the under primary coverts.

Well spotted John, I must admit the beak didn't look quite right either (would expect something a bit shorter and stubbier), but I have to admit I was committed to my joke by this time.
