Tamar lakes (1 Viewer)

I had a great morning out exploring Tamar lakes, somewhere I've never been before. It was a lovely walk around two lakes and the weather was perfect. I added 3 new lifers to my list with great egrets, crested grebes and a greylag goose. I loved the grebes, I don't think I've ever seen them before. Very pretty divers :) I also saw the flash of a kingfisher which is always a bonus. Another coot too. So many herons and an army of Canada geese as usual. I'm loving my new binoculars, I can see so much more now. I really enjoyed using them to watch a little tree creeper walking around a tree trunk, it was very cute. Up to 77 now. Not feeling so confident now about my 100 target by Christmas, unless I manage to get abroad maybe... How many commonish autumn/winter only birds do we get in Cornwall? I need to get down lands end way to pick up more sea birds I think.
