This ones a bit off patch for me. My son and daughter-in-law have just returned from Safari in Tanzania, and are assembling their ticklist of birds and animals (as one does). They aren't birdwatchers, although the interest they are showing in this gives me hope that they now may be!! I've had a crack at ID - in the first pic I think I can see Grey Heron, Sacred Ibis, a Pelican (Pink Backed?), Hamerkop (right bank in the foreground), a stork in front of the Pelican which may be Yellow Billed? However I'm struggling with the two brown birds in the water in the foreground, and also there is another Heron on the left bank which may or may not be Grey as well? In the second pic, taken at the same time but a longer shot, there is a large Stork in the distance which may be Marabou? Anyway any assistance confirming/correcting my guesses, and also identifying anything else would be most appreciated.
They have also sent me a pic of something that looks Kestrelish to me (I think they were more interested in the Lions, so not a great pic of the bird). I've added a zoomed in crop of the bird but its the same photo. I can see some lateral barring under the tail, which leads me to Kestrel (Grey, Greater?), but again would welcome correction/confirmation.
