.... well winter's back, so all the birds have migrated!!;)

We had white stuff falling here today.

Happens, doesn't it. Frustrating when it does too.

I saw that the Isle of May boat had a small pod of bottlenose dolphins approach them and swim around the boat. I'm hoping there are some around on 13 May when I visit.

Just had a walk round the village and flushed a pair of Grey Partridge from the Rape Seed field, quite rare sight round here, also had a Fieldfare, so not all the winter visitors have left yet. Bitter cold wind seems to have moved the House Martins away from the village, no Swallows either.

Walked to our local beach, good numbers of Skylarks, 6 Swallows, a male Whitethroat, a pair of Wheatear, Yellowhammer male and plenty of Chaffinches. The sea was quite empty, plenty of Gannets flying around, but not feeding, no signs of any Terns yet.
