Tenerife Robins..... (1 Viewer)

I attach a couple of photos from a recent trip - report here http://www.birdforum.net/showthread.php?t=300257

They were both taken on Tenerife - the first at Restaurant del Bosque, Ruiz Gorge on 26.02.15 and the second at the cafe at Zona Recreativa de la Caldera on 27.02.15. I believe that the first is a clear superbus but I favour rubecula on the second - presumably a wintering bird - based on the more extensive bib, more sullied underparts and more restricted white eye-ring.

Thoughts?

All the best

Paul

The second is also the stunning superbus. The deep rusty red bib with very conspicious ash grey borders, and the pure white belly clinches the matter IMHO.
