Getxo? A couple of weeks ago I saw a single little tern and the usual gang of sandwich terns ;)

yes , in getxo :t:

1), 2), and 4) i think are sanvicensis but 5 ) ?¿?¿ can be little tern ?¿?

I think so, difficult to see the size on the picture (it's smaller). But note the dark wing tips.

Was it alone? When I saw it, it didn't join the sandwitch terns at all. While the sandwich terns in Getxo tend to rest on a couple of boats or small buoys, this one was minding its own business resting on the sand in La Bola instead.

1,2 & 4 are Sandwich Terns.

I think 5 is a Common and probably 3 is too, but less certain on those two, especially 3.

I stand corrected, I think. Looking at the pictures more closely, the body is relatively long compared to the wing span. Little tern has a shorter body as far as I know.
