Piping Plover or Snowy Plover? I'm thinking Snowy. I wish I could see the legs. Photo taken Jan. 9, 2017 near Corpus Christi, TX.

Thanks Andrew! Can you tell me what led you to this conclusion? I decided Snowy judging by the neck side patches.

The neck side patches are a good clue. Also, these birds all look relatively brown rather than greyish and the dark and white areas on the head are fairly well demarcated and contrasting. Compare this Snowy:

Generally Snowy has a slightly sharper more well-defined face pattern than Piping, and I think you can see that on your birds. Piping normally looks very pale faced with a very open expression.
