Thailand bird feeders (1 Viewer)

Would anyone have any suggestions for feeding birds in Thailand? I live in the South of Thailand, backing on a quite large field that has recently been cleared and turned into a palm tree plantation. Consquently, the bird life has changed:( I would like to provide some food but not sure which birds here would be attracted to feeders and what to put out. Common birds, which likely do not require any feeding, are Doves, Oriental Magpie Robin, Yellow-vented bulbul, Ornate Sunbird, Great and Common Magpies, Common Tailorbird. I used to see the occasionsl brown shrike, paddyfield pippit, racket tailed treepie, greater coucal and a few others in the back field. Any ideas greatfully welcomed.
thank you in advance
steve

You won't be able to attract shrikes or pipits to feeders but if you have a garden you can increase the biodiversity by planting shrubs and plants that attract insects and bugs, though a nearby plantation won't help if they use insecticide and chemical sprays. A source of fresh water is always welcome. Very different approach to the UK obviously but a mixture of fruit, seeds and nuts will attract the commoner species.
