Damn, I thought they all came with an eyepatch, case, and strap:C Yes I looked at the Luger version. Seems good but I saw a photo next to some 8x21 and it looked bulkier, and the close focus is 4m but the 10.5 deg, waterproofing and 6x30 bright easy steady view must be a good deal at the price. So I was interested in it but wouldn't it be better if I got a Helios 8x21 like you have and hopefully one a bit more recent with some more or better glass/coatings. Well I do hope so as I just bagged one used in seemingly good nic :t: So that's 3 now I've bought in 3 days and I still have never even tried one before and still no Hawke 10x25 which is getting pretty annoying. It's going to be a shock to be trying a 10x25 bin and then 4x12, 6x16 and 8x21 monoculars if/when they ever arrive but hopefully by weeks end I should have them all and hopefully this time that will do me for a while but then I always say that and it never seems to last very long. That whole lot cost me not much over £100 so not to bad -although yet to be seen of course- but I'm hoping at least something good is in there. John: I'd love more open space. Ireland is supposed to have a population of 5 million but it seems more like 50 million - and they all seem to be in cars when you try and cross a road- and pretty much all of it rural seems to be fenced/hedged/walled/gated off which probably explains why the population mostly live in cars on the road. I think I need a holiday:eek!:
